When LikeBright and LikeIt (formerly The Complete.me) launched around the same time, I thought they were going to be the new Zoosk vs. Are You Interested comparison for new-school dating sites. Both companies have solid teams, strong visions and some cash to burn while they figure things out.
LikeIt burned through ??? of the $1.7 million they raised and shut down April 30, 2013. I haven’t had a chance to speak with Brian Bowman, the founder, but what I can say is that I never really understood LikeIt. Is it a dating site, or a social site or a mashup or something else? Moot point now. Best of luck to Brian and the team, hope they find something cool to do.
As for LikeBright, who would you say is on the other side of the vs. in terms of meeting friends through friends? Lots of options to choose from, that’s for sure.
