Either Badoo acquired Stepout, or Stepout took some of the $2.4M they raised in January and cloned Badoo’s business model and the display bar at the top of the page. The pay-for-points freemium access model is a bit different, with two options, chat with unlimited number of people for a day, a week or a month or pay once to message and chat for a lifetime with a specific group of friends.
What happens when Badoo comes storming into India? I would think that Stepout has the upper hand, but Badoo’s ad spend easily dwarfs them. We’ll see.
