WooMe: TechCrunch40 Finalist, $20 Million In Funding – And One Huge ScamLooks like TechCrunch just figured out that some dating sites use bots to send out automated messages after a person signs up.

True or not, the blogger put up a profile with a horses photo on WooMe and got lots of attention mere seconds after signing up.

The WooMe CEO replies in the comments, many of which are priceless if you like snark, people slamming online dating and veiled references to horses.

I like the concept of Woome, you know, 20-something kids getting all sexy and acting crazy and doing whatever it is those kids do these days on cam. If you want to pay for it, go for it. Lets just say that there are other options.

WooMe can defend their position of not spamming and not using bots as long as they like, but the reality is that spammers or bots or not, most people will take Chatroulette for free over $10/month.
