If you’ve got a smartphone you’ve probably heard of Bump. The company, which makes it easy to share contact information by “bumping” phones together, has raised a $16 Million round led by Andreessen Horowitz. Bump is one of those companies building a great and useful product that Apple is probably going to build directly into the phone with NFC, Near Field Communication, which is coming right around the corner.
StreetSpark mobile app works 24/7 to find your perfect match, while you’re out and about living your life. When it finds someone, it sends a ‘spark’ to your smartphone. Start chatting in real time, wherever you are.
To top it off, iPhones are getting a new ‘Find My Friends’ feature. This could make life difficult for a lot of mobile apps, similar to how Bump will be tested by Apple’s new contact sharing features.
