Its great to see Userplane founder Mike Jones at the helm of Myspace. I met Mike many years ago at a dating conference in San Francisco. Evan Mark Katz spoke and we went out to dinner with Mark Brooks from OnlinePersonalsWatch. Feels like a million years ago.
Say what you will about Myspace, Mike is an incredibly capable and driven serial entrepreneur, and we wish him all the best as he works diligently to turn around the troubled social network.
Jones says that the new Myspace will be more focused on “13-to-35-year-olds seeking an entertainment- centric social network separate from parents and other adults on Facebook.”
Multiple versions of the home page, a loyalty program and other features are only part of the relaunch.
