Word on the street is that Pre-Dating, the venerable speed-dating service, has been re-acquired by it’s original owners. At one time or another, Pre-Date sold to Cupid, which was then sold to Regional Help Wanted. RHW was sold to some other concern job board and now it’s back in the original owners hands.
Looks like PeopleMedia is transitioning over to a new platform. I hope they update the circa 2002 email templates they are using now. They just turned on a wink feature as well.

In Miami I met with a number of private label dating companies. Interesting to see the differences between the players in the space, there is a lot more nuance that one would expect. Big differences between Dating Factory, The Dating Lab and White Label Dating, the primary players. Not sure what’s going on with World Dating Partners. There are other competitors out there, but these are the major players.
Regardless of who you choose to partner with, don’t hesitate to ask lots of questions, talk to existing partners and get a sense of the conversions and revenue opportunities on each platform.
Dating Factory seems to be making some headway, filling in the gaps between WLD and premium services like The Dating Lab. They recently partnered with EasyDate to bring their adult dating site, BeNaughty, to Germany, France and Italy.
