Each week since I started Online Dating Insider in 2002 I receive a handful of emails from people with customer service questions for dating sites or complaints about other members. People searching for answers or contact forms via search engines end up leaving comments on un-related blog posts or using the contact form to try and get someone to help them with their problem. I have a stock response I send out to people with issues like billing problems. “Go to your dating site, look for the Contact or Help button, and ask your question there.”

Many of these emails focus on dating site features, which got me thinking. Why not set up a suggestion box for people to leave comments for dating sites?

So I did just that. The aptly-named SuggestionBox was nice enough to set me up with an account, which I have called Online Dating Suggestions.

Online daters have a place to vent and offer comments about ways dating sites can improve and dating sites can monitor the suggestions themselves and take whatever actions, if any, they deem necessary. I may end up using the comments as fodder for blog posts.

Let’s back this baby out of the garage and see how she runs. Click the link below, or the icon in the sidebar and let dating sites know what you really think. While I expect to hear from spammers and hyper-frustrated comments, hopefully the service will be of some use.

Our SuggestionBox Online Dating SuggestionBox.
It certainly will be interesting to see what people end up saying about online dating sites. I’ll leave it up for a few months and see what happens.
