My latest favorite mobile app is Siri. Siri lets you ask it questions out loud and returns results in a chat-like interface. Apple likes Siri as well, so much they brought the company last year.
Today I asked Siri about single women in Boston. The screenshot shows the first two responses. I had to scroll down several more times to get to the bottom of the list.
Siri is remarkable for many reasons, number one being how many sources of information its tied into. I can imagine Siri tied into all major dating sites.
“Siri, show me all single women within 50 miles who are college-educated, brunette, like Phish and vote Independent.” Now thats more like it.
At some point I hope that dating sites open up access to their data and let third-parties like Siri perform search and other functionality. Lots of sites have similar access, but how many are doing anything interesting with it?
