Back from a big wedding weekend. I met so many amazing couples who have been married forever, incredibly inspiring. Added bonus, married women are the best wing-people, hands down. The weekend also re-enforced the idea that you have to marry your best friend. Initial attraction is not all its cracked up to be.
Numerous people have written in to correct my last post in which I mentioned that Guardian Soulmates had moved to the While Label Dating platform. This is incorrect, the site was moved off The Dating Lab platform, and redesigned in-house. Apologies for the screw-up I was daydreaming of bridesmaids when I wrote that. The site move remains an interesting case study and cautionary tale about moving from a hosted-platform dating site to a ground-up dating site rebuild (if thats actually what it is.) Transitioning off a white label platform is difficult, from data migration and ownership issues to feature parity (search tends to return completely different results which can be awkward for users.) Even more frustrating is when certain features disappear completely.
