I don’t know how long this has been going on but when I updated my photos on Match this week I was presented with a pop-up stating my primary photo would be cropped to better show my face. I just spent 10 minutes tweaking the photo in a $700 photo editor, why are they altering my photo? The original showed my head and shoulders, and was taken in the Nokia hot air balloon overlooking Stockholm. I receive a lot of comments on the photo, and now the context of my worldly lifestyle is lost and I’m left with a boring mug shot. Was that a decision from the marketing department or engineering?
