Facebook has been talking about implementing a micropayments system for more than a year, only to drop the initiative in recent weeks.
to fill the gap, In an aggressive move, Jambool is developing its own payments platform and virtual economy tools for social network applications and online games.
Watch these guys, they’re embedded with a number of popular Facebook applications, but could be kicked off the network tomorrow. A dicey proposition, but as with all interactions with Facebook, get in, make your money and wait to get shut down if you’re too successful. We’ve seen this happen many times and I’m sure Facebook is watching Jambool closely to see how much they pull in.
I particularly like the Social Gold platform, which can be used in other social applications (and other apps?)
