A major media outlet is doing a a piece about niche dating sites and is hoping to offer a sense of the size of the niche dating site market. not sure of size but the hot/converting (with regard to EPCs via affiliate networks) niche sites seem to rotate every few months and usually led by the IAC “people meet” properties among others. single parent niche is always easy to convert.
Will you post when the piece will air if you know?
maybe query google trends for websites to compare traffic estimates? something like this..
