Fernando Ardenghi thinks behavioral matching on dating sites doesn’t work. To support his argument he’s put together a list of academic papers supporting his belief that the dating industry needs to implement the 16PF5 Questionnaire instead.
A few weeks ago I went to Dallas to spend some time with Match.com. During my visit I got to spend an hour with the brains behind Match.com’s recommendation system. After seeing what they have been up to and the behavioral matching that has been baked into the site, I came away impressed. I’ll have more on this in upcoming posts.
What do you think matches people more effectively, a modern personality test or behavioral recommendation system, a blend of both or something completely different?
