I love the statements printed on these “dating business cards” from Cheek’d. Handed out a few of them at a party last week. Let’s just say that they were effective beyond my expectations. Depending on the situation, sometimes it’s better to let your card do the talking for you. Cheek’d provides members with a deck of 50 cards, each bearing a flirtatious comment to charm and pique the curiosity of your intended. If you like Someecards, you’ll appreciate Cheek’d.
On the card you will find your unique code linked to a private online profile that you’ve created. With card in hand, the object of your affection can enter your unique code at cheekd.com, learn more about you and send you a message. Privacy protected and missed connection averted. This sort of thing has been tried several times in the past: license plates, t-shirts and bracelets come to mind. But these cards? I love them. Almost as much as my business cards from Moo with my own photos and designs.

Interesting concept. I wonder what the conversion rate is. I’d also be curious to know what their next steps are.. become a fully functional dating site, or remain a niche player for “missed connections.”
Either way — cool start !

I love this idea and it’s been working for me. I got so burned out on the traditional sites (match, eHarmony, etc). I got lots of fodder for comedy, but not many authentic guys that were really interested in a relationship. I like that I can use the greenlight card after I’ve met the guy (the whole chemistry/attraction thing) vs. the inorganic way of the traditional Internet sites. I never leave home without my GreenlightCard.com cards. I even stick them in my iPhone case when I’m travelling light.
