Who the heck is the The Hive? Why they are the owners of SinglesNet, the #1 dating site. the hive is a bunch of developers around the world, their website is full of trippy graphics and references to PHP, databases, clustering and all sorts of geekdom. I found this on Markus’ blog, The Paradigm Shift.
SingleNet is basically True.com circa 2006. T&A advertising at it’s finest. Markus thinks they won the paid dating site war and that Match and Yahoo will show sharper declines next year.
Point, Match in Asia has the potential to be huge. Point, I spoke with Susan Mernit at Yahoo Personals last week about their new infrastructure and recent changes to the service (interview posting soon). Between those two companies upcoming plans and hints of large dating sites integrating with Facebook, paid dating is far from dead. But then Markus wouldn’t have much to talk about except big yachts and even bigger Google checks, not that I wouldn’t mind either.

I think they won because they are showing high session times, high pageviews and 20% marketshare. None of the other spammer sites even came remotely close to showing those kind of stats.
As a dating site, trafic is not the most important things. a good dating site must have many quality profiles and ability to protect user far from spammers and sceammers. Anyway, safety has priority while meeting some online. agelessfriends.com track every member’s IP and block the IP of any any member violating the rules, and gained a result that less than three spammer or scammer was reported per day while more than 3000 new member join every day.
