Is this for real? The National Organization of Short Statured Adults?

The National Organization Of Short Statured Adults is in receipt of numerous complaints regarding the internet based website EHARMONY.COM, 300 N. Lake Avenue Ste, 1111 Pasadena, CA 91101 USA. The complaints allege that the website is intentionally denying website membership to short statured men. Suspicions have been confirmed after numerous tests indicated that the exact same responses to the website’s membership questionnaire, with the exception of physical height, resulted in either approval of membership (when an acceptable tall height was submitted) or denial of membership (when a short height was submitted). These tests were conducted numerous times to ensure accuracy. The National Organization Of Short Statured Adults has requested a full explanation from the company but has yet to receive a response. The organization has issued a full boycott of the website until this matter can be resolved. A 1998 Miami University study concluded that height and the power associated therein, plays a role in the selection of a mate.

They don’t take people’s money who want to join because they can’t service them and then the people they are trying to protect cry discrimination, that is sad. So then they will be crying they took their money and got no service. It’s a shame a great deal of women in society discriminate against short men, but eHarmony can’t change that. I think it’s somewhat honorable for them not to take money from people they feel they can’t service, but they are also playing God because some of those people (although probably a small amount) could surely be hooked up in their system.

Dave, Bill,
As you know we’re faced with this dilemma often. The only advice I can offer is to be HONEST with potential members. Our staff is thoroughly trained to be candid (straightforward) with clients. For example, if a man is short or a woman is on the heavy side this needs to be addressed before they join the membership. We take pride that we offer a service that anyone can join (we don’t discriminate based on how tall or short you are …or how skinny or heavy you are) but we do have the responsibility to let the consumer know if they are going to be difficult to match and let them decide if they want to join.

Bill, it’s time to go to another Red Sox game…Dave we’ll call you…

My sister attempted to join eharmony. After answering the questions was told “you are in the 3% of people we can not help.” Deemed her noncompatible and sent her on her way. I can not tell you what this did her esteem! She is an attractive slender 50ish lady? I don’t get it!
