Cancelling online accounts – pain and misery

PC World Senior Editor Tom Spring signed up for 32 online accounts and then tried to cancel them, documenting the incredible hassle, false billing charges, and crazy runaround he got from vendor after vendor.

True.com is featured. Overbilling confusing verbiage make this one of the more difficult sites to unsubscribe from.

Really interesting article that brings light to the shady practices of many of these companies. Emphasizing the problems of True.com really doesn’t surprise me – that’s not the first negative experience I’ve heard about that site.
