When I read that OnlineBootyCall reached the one million member mark with only one reported marriage I did a double-take, clearly this was a publicity stunt, or was it?
Typically dating sites let their PR flacks out of their cubicles around Valentine’s day, only to remain mute throughout the rest of the year. This OBC press release should be required reading for all dating site PR departments. The quote from the CEO is tongue-in-cheek writing at it’s finest.

I started being vigilent blocking out my scammers and I swear it has resulted in a much more homely bunch! I’m beginning to wonder if this is the real online dating demo and sites that appear otherwise are just allowing those scammer profiles to show? Its a running theory of mine. Any thoughts?
Yes, the fewer scammers you have on your site the more “real” it is going to look. We are extremely aggresive with deleting “fake” profiles. If that makes the picture less attractive, so be it!
Hey more power to them. I for one am glad to not see 200 profiles of models who are either escorts or selling subs to a webcam.

OBC does not spam members at all. There are email farming programs out there that target dating sites like match etc that try to steal email address (check out http://www.himailer.com).
On top of that, if you have a virus or spyware on your computer you are vulnerable to spamming because these programs can capture any information you type into forms. In your case it sounds like spyware.

OBC, AND FLING works. I’ve been a member for about 7 days on both sites. It takes about 1week to really find a chick thats legit. Just be respectful and have good pictures. Out of the 14 women I wrote back there has been no return correspondence from any of the women claiming interest in me.
This site is a Rip Off and I warning other not to waste their money signing up on the site.
One woman claimed she was not looking for a booty call, but online booty call is a casual dating site, and it is stupid for any woman to post her pictures to this site and not know this.
That is another thing that bothers me about this site.

Ok i’ve been a paying member for about 3 weeks now. I have to agree with the previous poster. Most individuals who respond to BC requests dont appear to be real people. Or you get sporadic replies as though someone is trying to string you along to keep you paying for the service. Out the 10 responses i did get so far, only two appear to be legit, and one is an escort. Sorry, haven’t gotten desperate.
Well, I’ve been a paying member at OBC for almost two years now, but my patience is getting thin. I have not had one single real conversation with a woman, hot or ugly. Every single message exchange has resulted in the woman being a scammer, or they just disappear. I have created a profile that has that “I just want to fuck” flavor to it, and one that had the “I just want to be friends” flavor to it, and a few in between the two, just to see if the different types of profile comments would generate more interest. It generated the same level of interest, regardless of the “flavor” of my profile comments; which is none!
Also, their search options don’t allow you to screen out the results by weight, height, etc. The profile options for a member also force you to choose man or woman, and there should be options for Transsexual, Lesbian, and Gay Man. I’m a straight guy and real women are all I’m interested in, and based on the poor photos some women use, you just can not tell if they are real or not. I’m not saying the trannies, lesbian, and gay men shouldn’t be on the site, they should just be able and required to identify themselves by sexual preference, gender, etc. Just like there is an option for Man and Woman in the profile, create more for tranny, lesbian, and another for gay man. Then add search filters that allow you to ignore the genders / sexual preference types you are not interested in. That seems like it would resolve a lot of mistakes and embarrassment.
Of course, regardless of the search filter options, there is that problem that there doesn’t seem to be any real women out there that want to just hook-up, or even just meet to see if you click. I have sent thousands of invites to women on OBC, and not one single real woman, other than scammers have responded.
Lucky for me I work in IT security and having good common sense too, otherwise I could have experienced a lot of personal and financial harm though OBC. I know it’s not OBC trying to scam us, but the scammers seem to be the only ones responding on OBC.
I think it’s time to pull the plug on this one.

Don’t be fooled by the commercials, fake blogs and reviews of the site, or from people working for the site, http://www.OnlineBootyCall.com is fake and full of spam. I tried the trial membership then went for the full month. I was getting a lot of invitations, message responses and chatting (IM) with a lot people and then I quickly realized they were all either escorts or webcam “girl” spammers.
Basically I would chat with them a while then they would be like “hey do you have an IM” or “I’m a model for … could you do me a favor and vote for me?” followed by some link.
I sent invites to all kinds of profiles, from obviously fake ones to ones that looked pretty real, but they all ended up being fake. I’m not sure if all the fake profiles or spammers work for http://www.onlinebootycall.com and bring in extra cash from the suckers or what. Either way you can sign up to the site (for free) and it wont take you long to tell the profiles are fake. I noticed people were getting pictures from amatuer sites like teensexposed.in or some webcam site.

My experience has been a little different, I caught about 5 chics on there, but yeah they DO have a ton of fake profiles.
I let my account expire, and I started getting messages all of a sudden, they ALL were like, “Hi how are you! I have been a paying member to fling and amatuer match and let me tell you both site are just full of scammer and spammers. The women email me and in the first week I was flooded with emails on AM match and I did not contact them they contacted me.
