OKCupid Leads Users to Features

by David Evans on March 1, 2008   in Features

This indicator of how complete my OKCupid profile is was perplexing at first. To get to the next level of completion, I can either answer another 204 questions or add a single comment to someone else’s profile. Now I get it, they want you to leave more comments, because people aren’t doing that much. [...]

Date.com has implemented an exit survey powered by Upsellit. They are a previous client, but I never heard about these new items on the website.

Get a date, tonight

by David Evans on October 11, 2007   in Features, Innovation

I just got off the phone with Sam Yagan at OKCupid. Sam walked me through a demo of a new site they are launching soon. Without giving away the store, I will say that the new service brings singles together like no other dating site I’ve ever seen before.
The service won’t be for everyone, but [...]

by David Evans on October 1, 2007   in Dating Sites

Many moons ago I had a long conversation with Anna Zornosa, head of Yahoo! Personals. Yahoo Updates Dating Platform, Profile Photos

by David Evans on July 2, 2007   in Features

After several years of losing ground to competitors and upstarts like Match.com and eHarmony, Yahoo! Personals is updating it’s creaky dating application and bringing it up to par with other paid dating services.
The new dating platform should make it easier to roll out new services. Although little is known about the “blazing efficient datamap”, new [...]
