Neverblue says that Zoosk is ending it’s affiliate marketing promotions with them today. “All Zoosk campaigns are going down EOD today. The reason is because Zoosk is scaling back from a number of affiliate marketing programs.” they are recommending Mate1 and iSingles.co.uk as replacements.

SuccessfulMatch was at the Affiliate Summit and wrote in to say that the show was a big success. 4,000 people showed up. Only three dating sites were exhibiting, SuccessfulMatch, SinglesNet and Match. I enjoyed my conversation with SuccessfulMatch at iDate, we’re working together on a number of projects which I’ll talk about more at a later date.

Fresh on rumors that Adult Friend Finder was acquired last month, legal troubles which undoubtedly complicate the transaction.

Federal Trade Commission (FTC) said in a statement that AdultFriendFinder affiliates used pop-up ads to drive traffic to the site, and exposed consumers, including children to sexual explicit images when search for terms including “flowers,� “travel,� and “vacations.� More seriously the FTC alleged that the ads were also distributed with spyware and adware.
The FTC found that “the practice of displaying graphic pop-up ads without consumer consent was unfair, and violated the FTC Act;� essentially saying that porn pop-ups are illegal.

I use Firefox’s ad blocker, so I never see pop-ups. I do find AFF and Fling.com ads disconcerting. “Women in Charlestown want to meet you,” right. I’m looking for something totally unrelated and I get these “targeted” ads? I never see these women walking around town. Could it be a ruse?[/end snarky coment].

Ourlikes.com was founded on the belief that it shouldn’t be that difficult to find people with similar interests. Militarydating.com looks like a good place for soliders and the people that just love a wo/man in uniform.

Paird is an online dating site that enables you to take part in matchmaking by simply visiting the site and matching men to women or women to men. Found via Somewhat Frank. Reminds me of Engage.com (previous client), which leverages matchmakers to connect site members. Engage has a large war chest and a fantastic profiling system, not sure if Paired has a chance, being so simplistic, there is really nothing to do on the site.

uRadiate looks exactly like Paird, but with actual features.
