Melissa Braverman is the blogger behind Single Gal In The City. On March 1st, Melissa will embark on The Great Dating Blitz — an 8-week, 8-city tour across the U.S., exploring what single life outside of New York is like. As part of the trip, she will go on a series of dates and interview local single women. Melissa will be blogging about her experiences on Single Gal In The City, as well as on my Examiner.com dating column, and also promoting the trip via Facebook, Twitter and online press releases. In addition, there is a YouTube video component and a survey for people to vote on the final destination of her tour.
Melissa will be using dating sites like Match.com to secure many of her dates, and mentioning the site throughout her trip on my blog and other social media outlets. YourTango recently selected Melissa as a Twitter Top 10 person to follow for dating advice — ranking her #2, just behind Match.com, and ahead of all other dating bloggers on the list.
I think dating sites should consider jumping on the opportunity to sponsor Melissa’s tour. It’s happening fast, so let her know if you’re interested in helping her meet singles across the country in return for some national brand recognition.
