Over the years I’ve advised a number of clients to launch blogs which are tightly integrated with their dating sites. Traffic driving, SEO and branding are just some of the benefits. For some reason this concept has not taken hold at many dating sites. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the new Mate1 blog, datedaily, has a section called Hottie of the Week, which displays a member profile photo and a link to the profile on Mate1. Smart move, exactly what I envisioned. Liz Wasserman and her team are showing that they understand how to reach potential members, promote existing ones and create additional marketing channels to drive traffic to Mate1. Which dating sites.
Wasserman recently announced their new online social dating site, eDate, which will have a “twitter-like†feature to allow singles to find dates in particular places at particular times. eDate and it’s accompanying Facebook application will be launching soon.
