Hi,

I got an interesting post, published recently:

Flashcoms (flahscoms.com), a developer company of web-based communication software, today announced a release of a new chat and instant messenger applications as Userplane software replacement.

Under pressure of Userplane official shut down coming in the end of June, thousands of web site owners seek alternative solutions, and the search reveals only a few capable to fill in the void.

Recognized for consistently delivering solutions that meet or surpass the users' demand and expectations, Flashcoms announces the release of hosted chat and instant messaging solution. The applications are developed in full compliance with the Userplane API to provide seamless and easy transition. In addition to "industry classic" numerous features and innovations, Flashcoms compliments users with a hassle-free installation - a simple, copy-paste procedure.

Being among the speakers at the upcoming iDate conference held in June 2009 Flashcoms will make an official announcement of Z5messenger and Z5chat release. The presentation will cover the analysis of current industry trend and perspectives of Z5 suit with comprehensive review of features. We welcome all interested parties to participate in exhibition to get latest updates straight from the tin.

Anticipating the official release live demos of Z5messenger and Z5chat can be already seen at http://www.z5messenger.com, http://www.z5chat.com.

Hope, it will be a good way out for Userplane Chat Owners.

Hi there!

My name is Nick Schneble, and I used to be the senior developer over at Userplane. Before anyone asks, I can't confirm or deny any shutdown rumors. :-)

I wrote all of the Flex and AIR applications for Userplane, and since leaving I've started a new company, Topicfox, with the intent of providing a robust, stable and highly scalable white-label IM solution.

As a result of my many years at Userplane, Topicfox is 100% compatible with existing Userplane WM configurations, and can be imported and converted for use by Topicfox with very little client interaction.

I'm looking to provide a far more hands-on solution than Userplane, with a greater amount of client feedback.

If you have an existing Userplane Webmessenger (IM) setup, and/or you may be interested in a solution customized exactly the way you want, drop me a line!

You can reach me at nick (at) topicfox.com
