		<description>Hi Dave,

Your negative tone is unnecessary.

Virtual dating is a young, innovative product. So far, all evidence indicate that it is a very powerful tool for improving user experience, increasing “time on site” and “pages/visit” (btw, OmniDate is much higher that Speeddate and Woome – virtual dating is simply a very engaging application!), attracting women to the site, enhancing daters’ success in real-life, etc. We are currently collecting data with respect to conversions and retention.

We are also conducting a study with Professor Ariely (Duke University, MIT Media Lab) into the effectiveness of virtual dating because we believe in the product so much that we are prepared to publicly share the results. (Btw, your allegations are completely off base – OmniDate is NOT paying Professor Ariely to do the study or to “say good things about our brand”! It&#039;s an academic study.)

Certainly, OmniDate continues to evolve – Rome was not built in a day. Meanwhile, this year, OmniDate has received the Red Herring Top 100 Global Companies Award, recognizing the best startups in the world that will lead “the next wave of disruption and innovation.” Past winners of this prestigious award include Google, Yahoo!, Skype, Netscape, Salesforce.com, and YouTube.

Few words on innovation ... Being the “first mover” in the online dating space provides a huge competitive advantage; just look at eHarmony (the first personality matching product), PoF (the first free site), etc. Now dating sites who are early adopters of the virtual dating technology have the same “first mover” opportunity!

I invite dating sites interested in participating in the virtual dating study to contact me, ravit[at]omnidate.com. It’s a great opportunity to discover how virtual dating can enhance the quality of your user experience and increase your conversions and retention.

Cheers,
Ravit
