Facebook is an amazing way to make new friends, and one thing good about it is that people have started using it, and realized it was so easy to use, and connect to a lot of people in the internet world. This could be a good opportunity for dating companies to set up their dating sites on facebook, as they might get more clicks than every before. Facebook not only connects you with others, but it is also a place where everyone gets to know a person more in depth, slowly learning about each other.

Sharon, since you sound like you work at DatingDNA, have someone fix the survey form. Just tried to fill out my profile twice and each time the submit button refused to work. Nice site, interesting concept and helpful video avatar don’t mean much if the core functionality for new members is broken.

Widgets are great in some cases, but telling everyone on all the sites you visit that you’re single seems a bit much. I haven’t looked at Dating DNA since I talked to the founder las year, perhaps they have changed the system to be more effective.

Dating DNA has been doing this for some time now. http://www.datingdna.com

The idea is you get a “Dating DNA Number” and then you use their widgets, applications, etc. all over the Internet to let people do one-click compatibility scoring with you. By adding one of their buttons, widgets or applications to your Facebook, MySpace, etc. page, you’re letting visitors know “Hey, I’m single and available for dating, so click here to see if we’re compatible.” It works very well.
