As the original blogger indicated.......Most reviews of dating sites are negative..
I wanted to post a review that is positive, as was my experience.
Happy Dating....

I'm glad as you stated you had "great luck." Unfortiunately, that was not the experience of most of the respondents on this blog.

All I can say is my experience with chemistry.com was great and I have referred several people who had a good experience (one of all I referred did not, but she is kind of a negative type person). I even referred my daughter who is having a great experience. We didn't just, "get lucky".
Sorry about your bad experience.

Trudy, glad your daughter had good luck and that is the optimum word, "luck." The members who use these sites have to rely too much on luck and the sites don't deliver what they promise which is to match you based on your stated criteria. That is the reality and they should be shut down based on consumer complaints and poor business practices. If you went to a restaurant and ordered a meal and the waiter bought you something you didn't order..what would you do? Send it back and you certainly wouldn't pay for something you didn't order. It's the same principle with most of the respondents here. I'm happy for your daughter...she got lucky.

One star is generous. This site is a scam. They matched me with people who were well out of my criteria in terms of education, body type and distance. I live in Maryland, and specifically requested matches within 50 miles and was I sent matches from NC, NJ, Ohio, and West Virginia. Many of the profiles are not current or phony. I complained to a customer care representative and she said they lack the technology to make sure all matches fall within my criteria. My comment was, "Then why have a criteria if you can't match people to it? This is what I am paying you to do. I have high speed internet on my phone with a GPS and you lack the technology to follow a simple match criteria?" Her name was Anastasia and she contacted me via e-mail. I think she was fake too. Her responses were robotic and always ended with "our technology is constantly being upgraded and we care about the feedback you provide us."

Are you kidding? My advice is save your money and buy a dog. You will get more companionship from a pet than from anyone on this site.

Before Chemistry.com, I had never used any other dating website, in fact...I was nervous about it. I met the love of my life on chemistry.com and we have been together (now mairred) over two years. I wanted to find their website again so that I could tell them how thankful I was for their service. The thing I liked the most was the test that we both had to take and how they matched us up. We are a perfect match. I signed up for three months and sent them a check (I didn't give them my credit card info- because I wasn't sure I trusted them). My husband and I both always say, "we love chemistry.com" because we are both so happy that we met, fell in love and it wouldn't have happened without the service.

I also agree with these comments. They r a rip off. I was on March.com. for 3 months, had 2 dates, they were both Bi. They did not say that in their profiles tho. Those were the only dates I had. Im very picky. I did get alot of guys trying to scam me and sending me a computer viris. All the dating sites r the same. The commericals r paid people, not even on the dating sites. SCAMS.
