Looks like Userplane has some competition in Toksta, which I learned about at iDate last month. Supposedly Toksta beats userplane on price and depth of integration, with toksta all of your friends/favorites, ignores, profile pictures etc. from the community/dating site are automatically synchronized with the IM. Publishers may sell their own ads as well. They offer a “Facebook like†chat bar and a multi-user videochat application is coming.

Well the fact that Userplane didn’t bother to show up to iDate probably didn’t help them – and the fact that the guys from Toksta were friendly, networking and boogying with the best of us did them some favours no doubt ;)
