Quick Update on Calisto100:

We have received some very positive feedback from students on college campuses, and have decided on a specific direction for Calisto100 – still focusing on the student niche. Here is a description of the site.

“Calisto100 is a community for students to vote and connect with other members from over 2,000 colleges and universities. Rate your favorite (or least favorite) photos, and have fun meeting new students on and off campus. Become a top 100 member by collecting higher ratings and more votes. Thanks for the comments. Here at Calisto100, we do agree that the filtering process is simply too subjective for one person or a small group to take on. We have listened to some great user feedback, and have been preparing Calisto100 for its new release which is serving a more niche market and focuses on the power of community.

I dont see how people are willing to give this much detail, there needs to be a blacklist of people and then check that but for sites to do separately seems unrealistic.

Great idea for many reasons. I just wonder if 100 is enough or if you’ll need to add another 100 for another category and keep doing that.

Interesting concept. But I find it equally interesting that the profile is so similar to Match.com’s profile in terms of titles, fonts, layout, and even the exact method of showing certain pieces of information, like whether or not someone wants to have kids — some day (2) or definitely (2).

Are these guys associated with Match.com in any way, or just borrowing Match’s profile layout?
