I just spent 10 minutes clicking around. I get it. This is what you’re trying to do:

“Online Dating Bookmarks is a resource for singles that highlights the best articles, sites, services, and links on the Internet that are related to online dating.”

My point was that there are a million of these already and you say I don’t understand what you’re trying to do, which is ridiculous.

Traffic numbers will tell, I’ll keep an eye peeled. Best of luck with your sites.

Joe, I’ve build a similar site, so I see what you’re trying to do. It’s an affiliate site. You posted the top affiliate performers on the home page. Do we really need another one?

Online Dating Bookmarks isn’t just a page with 5 links to dating services as you suggest. It has more than 50 pages of content (so far), which includes top 5 lists in a variety of categories (i.e. articles, tips, research, humor, experiences, safety, satire, etc.).

In addition, the Top 5 Online Dating Services page goes into great detail in listing the four criteria used for the rankings. It’s not based on “hey, who’s paying the highest commission this month?” like most sites. There’s an actual methodology. And we don’t hide what that methodology is… we publish it.

We also have a growing section of content we publish on the site (versus just lists). And as we start getting into our own video production, you’ll see original content appearing on Online Dating Bookmarks (and other dating sites we run) that we have produced.

It’s definitely not the biggest of sites in our Online Dating Magazine Network, but it provides links to great content and serves a greater purpose moving forward.

I don’t think people are too concerned with pin-point accuracy, they care about amount and quality, in that order.

Hey ODI, thanks for the shout out.

The biggest difference between Zoosk and AYI is “location, location, location.” Zoosk pin-points people near you with much more accuracy than AYI.

If you’re not finding people of your liking in your area, you can check back tomorrow where there will be a different set of matches (with maybe some random overlap). You can also broaden your matches to Planet Earth.
