I’m back from an fun and productive few days in NYC. Met with Sobayli and talked about what we’re going to be working on next. Then I had drinks with Gordon at DatingHeadShots at a hip Meatpacking district bar (Gossip Girls fans will recognize the lights behind the bar). Gordon had some great stories to tell, I think we’ll get along just fine.
Friday I spent some time with a finance company interested in investing in the social/dating space. Not much to say publicly except that I enjoy offering advisory and performing due diligence on dating sites and social applications.
Saturday afternoon I met up with Cliff at SNAP, makers of the huge Facebook application Are You Interested. Cliff and I talked so long that I ended up sprinting to the hotel to change into my tux and showed up just as the bride was walking down the aisle. A close call but worth it, Cliff really understands what it takes to create engaging social applications. Sorry to those of you I couldn’t meet up with, I’ll see you next time.
