I received an email stating that 3,000 women had joined Y! Personals in Boston in the last month. Clicking through the link, I found an article about men’s shoes.

Carrie Bradshaw appears to have taken over the marketing department at Yahoo Personals in this article about the importance of a man’s shoes on a first date.
Call me crazy but if a woman decides against dating you because of your shoes, you’re probably better off without her.
Almost every comment (50!) on the article rallies against it’s superficial nature.
Articles like this belong in women’s magazines, not advice columns on dating sites. Hopefully they will consider a different tone and topic in future advice columns.
