loopylovevideo.jpgPost tax day depression starting to lift. Joined GetREELed, a social network for fisherman. After a day on the site I am already hosting an urban fishing expidition in May. That’s why I love niche sites. I’ve met more interesting people that actually want to hang out together in 24 hours than I have on Facebook in a long time.

Speaking of connecting, I was just hanging out in a chat forum with a bunch of Silicon Valley A-listers including Michael Arrington of Tech Crunch fame. An interesting bunch, indeed. What did I learn tonight? Sometimes it’s important to sit back, shut up and listen hard. And we talked about puppets.

Maholo has a category about dating, the How To Date Online was fair, marginally better than About.com’s Dating category. I’m in the running to edit the next edition of a popular online dating book series, fingers crossed!

LoopyLove has a cool video snapshot feature using Userplane chat. I’ve been spending so much time in front of a webcam lately, feels second nature to add video to my profile. Tomorrow night is the first taping of the dating radio show. We’ll need a few shows to get the rhythm down, then I want to be interviewing all industry folks and I’m even going to dust off ProfileDoctor and do some on-air profile reviews. Should be fun.

I still don’t fully understand the Facebook privacy controls. Trial by error could be embarrassing and I have a ton of sketchy dating apps installed. Any single woman that views my profile probably moves on to the next guy immediately, which is understandable. All for the sake of research.
