MySpace Apps Are Go For All Users

MySpace officially opened its Application Gallery to all users this morning after launching it in public beta last March. In that time over 1,000 applications have been approved and added to the gallery and there have been over 2.1 million application installs across the site. Today, MySpace began promoting applications to users by adding an icon for the gallery on MySpace.com and a link on user control panels.

There are currently 147 Dating & Relationship applications. The most popular is Kiss Me! with 65,171 installs.

Put a “Kiss Me” button on your profile and let people kiss you in various ways and places! If you kiss a friend that kisses you – we’ll let you know. You can view history of your friends different types of kisses.

I can’t wait to see what kinds of apps people start developing on Myspace. Will they be any better than what’s on Facebook?
