Online dating juggernaut Singlesnet is sponsoring a comedic reality dating show called Date Court, which launched at Zango. The six-episode series — available only at Zango.com — was produced by Telepictures Productions for Studio 2.0, the digital production division of the Warner Bros. Television Group.

The show requires Internet Explorer on Windows, so I won’t be watching it. the trailer was pretty funny though. As a PC user on and off since 1985, I’m definitely not a Windows-hater, but I’m tired of so-called media companies alienating millions of potential viewers. It’s bad for business and shows that their developers or someone in the executive suite is totally out of touch with reality.

No worries, someone will most likely grab a copy and throw it up on Youtube, Bittorrent or some other file-sharing network.

I’m surprised that there isn’t a dating-based section on a file-sharing network. Copy your personal ad up on the Internets and see what happens. There is my big idea for the day.

Press release.
