I am suffering from Pringo Networks fatigue. I’m getting spammed from their PR agency, Lewis PR.
First I am told that Pringo is powering BuddyUniversity.com, whatever that is.
Then I realized, after mentioning NetworkingMatch as a good choice to power the pre-event virtual conference, that Pringo is actually powering it. Press release ended up in spam folder, whoops. I’m interested to see how easy it will be to get into the virtual conference.
Next, I receive an email from Lewis about Visible Path, which actually goes on to talk about Pringo Networks. Confusing. Now I actually want to follow Chris Anderson’s lead and put them on spam list. Either target me effectively and intelligently or into the round circular file you go.
I’ve written and sent out hundreds of press releases and generally know how to keep PR people in check. Someone at Lewis definitely needs to stop the presses and re-evaluate how they are transmitting their client’s messages.

Dave,
Hey…I feel for ya. Maybe Lewis is a bit excited for Pringo this week…
I’m with BuddyUniversity.com and hopefully you had the opportunity to read the PR from Lewis about who we are…yes another college student social site. However our approach is a bit different than the others. BuddyU allows members to earn and redeem merchandise points for activities, including blogging, sharing pictures, videos and music. We want to reward students for doing the same things that they do on the other sites. Any speaking of other sites…talk to any group of students and you’ll find growing frustration with Facebook, even though it is a must have. Always room for another if there is a better take and we believe that we bring that. Thanks for the post.
Terry
