I agree absolutely with the comment above.

I personally find major dating sites offer a better chance to find real people interested in meeting others.

Free sites have their place, but they soon become a pain in the arse. They don’t have procedures in place for age & identity verification so they end up with lots of fake profiles and scammers trying to get your money.
They don’t have support, they don’t monitor chat rooms to keep the idiots out. They don’t have many advanced features and other services that make the user experience quick, easy, fun & effective.

When I’m seriously looking to find someone , I’d rather pay a few shillings and actually meet someone!., than join a free site and waste my time!.

You’ve hit it perfectly Dave.

PoF gets lots of traffic.

But in terms of making money – which is what most people are doing this for – it’s pretty average.

People who genuinely want to find someone have to trawl through so much trash on there simply because it’s free and anyone can join it.

Good to see putting PoF traffic in perspective.

Did you check this new dating site called Ourlikes.com? These guys did a pretty decent job with this site. As there is a famous saying that “A picture tells a thousand words”, they are trying to capitalize on that by matching interests visually through images.
