I looked at the visitor stats for Online Dating Insider and saw that today for the first time there are over 1,000 people reading this blog via email and RSS newsreader. The number goes up and down every day by as much as 100, depending on several factors out of my control, so by the time you read this it might be lower. In any event, it’s great to see so many people taking advantage of new ways to keep up with what’s going on in the online dating industry. Bookmarks are so 1999.

We have a few new advertisers coming on board who are looking to get some exposure as the iDate social networking and dating conference approaches. I have no less than 18 posts sitting in the draft folder. Life gets busy around the holidays, clients are finishing up end of year projects and sometimes blogging every day is simply not an option. Believe me, running two blogs for five years is a big investment in time and energy. I’d rather wait and write a though-provoking post thank regurgitate a press release, but at the same time, pay attention to the Quick Hits area in the sidebar, that’s where I bookmark interesting posts that I don’t have the time or the willingness to write about, although rest assured, if a link is a Quick Hit, it’s worth a look.
