Spark Networks (AMEX: LOV) is looking for someone to head ad sales for their websites. The opportunity is unique in that the websites have just started offering ads. This offers a great opportunity to build something successful from the ground up as well as monetize some very targeted web traffic that has not been monetized before.
The National Sales Director will be responsible for leading Spark Networks’ media sales team. In this role, you will lead media sales initiatives for all of the company’s online properties. To be successful in this role, you will need to have relevant online media sales experience and a track record of creating and maintaining relationships with both client- and agency-side buyers. As the first full-time hire in Spark’s media sales group, this unique opportunity not only carries with it a competitive base salary and commission structure, but also a very attractive equity compensation package.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree
• 3+ years online media sales experience
• Superior communication and presentation skills
• Strong relationships with both client- and agency-side media buyers
• Ability to think strategically and create unique sponsorship opportunities that leverage the company’s assets
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Position preferrably located in L.A. office but open to alternate locations for a superstar candidate
