Eharmony Launches Premium Personality Profile

by David Evans on July 10, 2007 in Personality Testing

EHarmony is now offering an expanded version of their standard personality profile for $9.95. The Premium Personality Profile provides in-depth analysis of 15 critical aspects of your personality.

I dislike taking tests of any kind but enjoy reading the results, most of the time. Sometimes it’s ok not to know know your fatal flaws.

I noticed a few grammar errors, sloppy. Someone needs a spell-checker.
Not worth ten bucks but this made my morning:

What a great life you have, and a great attitude to boot. You know when to buckle down and push ahead to get the job done, and you do it well. You know when to lay the tools of your trade aside, grab your kite and head for the meadow where you can run with the wind.

I just joined EHarmony a week ago and was quite comfortable taking the Personality test and then sharing the results of the Profile (basic) at the appropriate time with someone I had not met.

A couple of days ago, I then took advantage of the Premium Profile feature . I found it helpful, worthwhile BUT … it is incorporated into the Basic Personality Profile. I thought it would be a separate document.

I had no idea that it would be all one piece and that I would NOT be able to share JUST the Basic. I think the Premium is pretty heavy duty info and would take a very trusting relationship in order to share it. NOW I feel I cannot share the Basic Profile because the Premium will also be displayed. If I had known that when I ordered it, I would not have done it. There is no information to that effect on the sales blurb for it.

I’ve contacted EHarmony to find out details and will explore further to see if they can just drop that Premium part (I’ll print it out). I’d rather keep the Premium section for my own purposes and am more than happy to share Basic profile so don’t want a refund. But I feel restrained now in offering my entire profile and I find more limited to share than it was before.
