Online Dating News From The Blogosphere

by David Evans on June 15, 2007 in Uncategorized

Why is it that when I’m busy with work that things in the dating industry tend to happen and people like Markus and Mark Brooks scoop me?

Markus on the Winds of Change (older post but good)

Zencon, owner of blackpeoplemeet.com, has been sold.

Markus on the Today Show, in the Wall Street Journal and Businessweek, he is officially on a tear with PlentyOfFish.
Mark Brooks is doing an analysis of white label dating sites. I’ve done due diligence on database systems and software platforms in the past. A thorough review of an industry sector can take months, it will be interesting to see what Mark comes up with.

Somewhat jarring to see Adult Friend Finder is sponsoring the Internet Child Protection Organization?

Perfectmatch Stars in NBC Special “Science of Love“. I wrote about a similar BBC  show last year. Brought to you by the people who created The Biggest Loser.

It seems like every day I get a call from a news organization asking about Chemistry and eHarmony. Look for lots of print and web articles covering the topic in detail in coming weeks.

Not too jarring, really, about adultfriendfinder :)
I mean, it’s a good puclicity stunt on their behalf, which may be a bit cynical but it’s a good stance to for them to take, showing them as a responsible facilitator of sex-oriented dating. Also, god knows they can afford it, because we all know sex sells!
