I'm seriously unhappy that I decided to go ahead and purchase SkaDate EVEN AFTER reading all these terrible ratings. I am not one to be deterred by random disgruntled customer/black pr... thought since the "pre-sale" customer service was so good that I'd go ahead and buy it. anyway long story short - a day into buying the product i've already come across a hurdle. installation didn't go through all the way (they blamed it on the hosting company - although i know from past experience and a quick call to my hosting company that it wasn't a problem with hosting). they are so quick and dismissive once teh sale was done. Now i'm scrambling for help in the forum - trying to figure out all this problem with my site crashing randomly. I have NO CLUE and no help certainly... and the best part... when i ask for help through the support system - i get offered the wonderful $95/month plan to pay for support... YEAH RIGHT!! i pay for a product i cannot even customize even though they say it can be! moment you step into the backend to customize css, everything falls apart and no documentation to help us out! This is beyond illegal to scam customers into buying a bugged-out software, with very little to no support (and limited "unique" templates) and then have them scurrying to pay more just to fix YOUR software... we are the customers, we shouldn't be fixing your errors. So if you cannot guarantee a bug-free product - then DON'T charge us for support!!!! I SINCERELY learned my lesson (although it cost me a grand $400 USD). Never buy from a company with real bad PR... there's truth behind it (after all it cannot all be "fake comments") and by the way, before you step on this message board telling me to come forward. I'd be glad to.. except i dont' plan on releasing my personal information on the web. simply contact me (I'm unfortunately still stuck being your customer til I find a more reliable software). So reply back to me if you have a remedy for this ridiculous situation!

SkaDate is kyrgyz scam! Stay away from them! THEY HIDE BEHIND THE KIRGIZ LAW!
"Our company is registered in South Bend, Indiana, USA. Yes we have our support department in Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan and I write from there."
So what does that mean? Any idiot can register a company in the US. No offense, but you're making it sound like the company is a US company but you have a small support department that happens to be in Krygyzstan. Funny because when you read your legal documents, why aren't they US based?
Maybe because you are kyrgiz scammers? And hide behind Kyrgiz scam law? I WILL NEVER BUY FROM SKADATE IN MY LIFE.

Don't buy this crap or you will regret it. Paid major money for it had so many bugs and problems even after paying their technicians for set up. They have a ticketing system set up just to service the bugs they leave behind. Keeps making me think of P.T. Barnum while I write this. He said there's a sucker born every minute and this company is the same just out to exploit you. Chat doesn't work unless you both have the same type of browser, mail works only every other message for some reason. Maybe it hangs and then resets itself on the second try. Too many problems to say here. Pages look crappy with elements squeezed into the center to allow for different screen sizes I imagine, Pages are written on php code to which is difficult to learn also. Amazing these people can show up for work everyday without drowning in guilt for cheating people.

Hi all. It's me Tim. Yes we had the security issue and it was fixed and a security file was released immediately. We posted an article about that security issue at our blog: SkaDate security fix: upgrade as soon as possible (http://www.skalfa.com/press/skadate-security-fix-upgrade-as-soon-as-possible.html)
As for the article at topix.com there were only two comments from our real customer and we reached consensus. As for the other comments and the original one they were posted by non-existent customers maybe competitors.
Well the other web site with so called “dating software reviews” seems to be a fake web site. It was created by a vendor of a dating software. You can read more about that web site here: Searching for reliable Dating/Matchmaking script (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1204384) and here RUSSIAN tracking code (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=10540181&postcount=124). Actually I posted a comment and was really sure that it might be deleted. As the result it was immediately removed by the owner of that “dating software reviews”.
I’m pretty sure that this negative comment was made by a person who is affiliated with one of our competitors otherwise our customers would contact us directly instead of posting such kind of comments on the net.

You will be treated like shit as soon as you give your money, the script itself is full of bugs and vulnerabilities, the most recent ones:
http://www.milw0rm.com/exploits/8039 and http://www.vupen.com/english/advisories/2009/0417
So any 14-year-old hacker will be able to hack your site as soon as you get enough paid users. THE SCRIPT IS FULL OF BUGS!!! NEVER GIVE YOUR MONEY TO KYRGIZ SKADATE SCAMMERS!! The Tim is Emil Sargnodoev, a kyrgiz shit eater, and you can see him here: http://datingsoftwarereviewer.com/review/18/ at the bottom of the page. Are you sure you would like to give your money to such "Tims"? BEWARE OF KYRGIZ SCAM!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! I START A LEGAL CASE AGAINST SKADATE.

SnIpEr_SA has reported a vulnerability in SkaDate, which can be exploited by malicious people to disclose sensitive information.

Input passed to the "view_mode" parameter in member/featured_list.php is not properly sanitised before being used. This can be exploited to display arbitrary files via directory traversal attacks with URL-encoded NULL bytes at the end.
