Dating simulators seem to becoming more popular these days. OmniDate helps people find life partners through online dating adventures by building highly interactive dating adventures. OnmiDate recreates real-life dating situations by using video and 3D animation.

It’s unclear how many people will decide to ask some out on a “dating adventureâ€? instead of simply emailing them to go grab a cup of coffee. I’ll withhold judgement until I can review the system in full, but at first look, it seems like a simulation/solution in search of a problem. Why add all the complexity and cost to the introduction process?

OmniDate is set to launch summer 2007. You can sign up to be notified on the home page.

Dating itself can be pretty expensive both at the cost of money and most importantly time. I suppose if you could go online and be on a date (albeit it is “virtual dating”), then this is probably a viable alternative to spending your time getting to know someone on a date that you just don’t have chemistry with.

Interesting concept… haven’t really had a chance to explore just yet. Site is a little ugly, but then again, so are some of the other FREE alternative (which don’t provide anything other than a venue for email messaging).

Interested to hear what others have to say.
