Not sure what’s going on in the mind of your date or spouse? All you have to do is install Skype, purchase Love Detector, have them download and install Skype, call them, and LoveDetector will tell you if they want to boil bunnies, break up or get married.

Love Detector for Skype is a new software technology, designed to detect love and other relevant emotions over a Skype\telephone conversation conducted over your PC. The software automatically monitors your friend’s voice to detect minute indications of emotional arousal. Unlike many gadgets or love detection “gamesâ€?, Love Detector is the real thing. Using Nemesysco’s patented Voice Analysis technology, you can now know the truth behind the words.

I can see a married couple in bed, with his and hers laptops, Skyping each other and seeing what LoveDetector says about them. Definitely for entertainment purposes, I can’t imagine this really works, given the variable quality of Skype calls.

In 10 years, this sort of thing will be commonplace, for now, it’s a fun gimmick.

I don’t have a PC, so I can’t test this. If anyone tries it, leave a comment.

HAHA! Let me get out my list of crushes…

This would be a fun gimmick at a party, and that’s about it. I don’t think $29 will get you a working product, but hey there has been stranger things.

Thanks for making me smile!
But it’s a little weird to use tech tools to determine levels of your relationships. I do admit tests but not direct appreciation…

It’s unnatural and it kills real communication. By the way, if people can talk they’ll know about their relationships more then from Skype’s Love Detector
