RateOrDate blog finds that Engage has added a vote-for-the-couple feature to the home page which is similar to RorD’s CrowdMatch which is in the same vein as PlentyOfFish mimicking HotorNot.

uhm the plentyoffish rating system has been there since the day the site launched.

I would break it down into a few categories:

* rate-the-person: hotornot, plentyoffish

* rate-the-couple: crowdmatch

* match-the-couple: paird.com, engage.com

But the couple-voting apps are still small.

p.s. - link on “finds” goes to the wrong page.

I used to have a feature exactly like the one on engage. I removed it because members hated being voted into a match. I have never received so much negative feedback about a “feature”. On the other hand, most of my members seem to like rating a single member and being rated, a feature I’ve had since 1999 :)
