Opinity and Rapleaf Partner

by David Evans on April 27, 2006 in Identity

Now this is more like it. A mere two days after I discovered Rapleaf, Opinity announces they will be partners.

Opinity and RapLeaf have entered into an agreement to integrate their services so that they can:

• Pursue and delop ways to create and exchange value related to e-commerce ranking and reputation/reputability for the benefit of end-users on the Internet

In order to make this happen,

• RapLeaf will provide Opinity the use of RapLeaf’s e-commerce rating tools

• Opinity will provide RapLeaf with continuous access to Opinity’s API so that RapLeaf can instantly retrieve and verify ID and other reputation-related data.

This is great news. Opinity fast-tracks rolling out e-commerce rating tools and Rapleaf can work with verified Opinity IDs. I love this kind of synergy, quick efficient and the benefits far outweigh both parties reinventing the wheel.

Rapleaf is launching on May 7. I’ll have more on Rapleaf after my demo, which is supposed to happen this week.

I heard they were going public tomorrow, cash out for billions the next day, and I think they plan to save the worlds starving children on Monday! Or were they going to bring world peace on Monday? I don’t remember. What ever it was, I’m sure it will be all Web 2.0 and fantastic! LOL
