Opinity Update

by David Evans on March 28, 2006 in Uncategorized

Online reputation and identity management company Opinity has announced new features including data importing, customized profile pages and blogger tools. I talked to them last year when they first launched the site and it’s nice to see them adding features. Opinity competitors are busy building the services and relationships necessary to gain a foothold in the market as well. This includes Microsoft, who’s Infocard initiative is going strong. All hail open profiles.

Dave,

Thanks for writing about Opinity. We’ve been busy adding features, but have been even more busy adding new partners (customers).

In fact, speaking about MS Infocard, we are going to be one of their first Identity Service Providers – so we’re not competing with them but rather partnering with them, just like we are partnering / utilizing other identity technologies such as, inames, openid, lid and yadis.
