It would be nice if you could get presenters to give you their slides/notes like you did last year.

Yes, that would definitely be helpful. I wasn’t able to make it either this year and was hoping to read your impressions and the summaries of the presentations.
If you missed IDate I’m assuming it was a personal issue - hope everything turned out ok.

I was at iDate and, despite getting caught on the 12th floor for 45 minutes when the elevators went out, I’d say that it was a smashing success. Of course, only time will tell if people follow up on their stated intentions.
My iDate recap can be found on my blog at:

And so you know, Dave, you were definitely missed at this year’s event. Hope all’s well.
Best wishes,
Evan Marc Katz

John Gray was a highlight, Brad Hogg - brilliant. Robert Fisher - thinking way beyond B/M, and Instinct Marketing - exciting. Hats off to Mark for pulling it off again.
Prediction - by 07 or 08, our industry’s revenue and profit leaders will be those who’ve pioneered and perfected the bringing of higher level and success-enabling services to Internet daters.
Dave, we missed you. Julie Ferman

David, You were missed. We needed to have someone asking better questions about the industry. I think you really do attempt to get at what is going on and what the customer is looking for. I expect to see you there next year.

Having been to both prior Miami iDates, I can honestly say that this was the best by far. The speakers all knew their business, Chieffos panel covered some essential issues, Brooks was industry informative, and Dr. Gray was entertaining…Oh, and Meir was his usual spot-on but droll self. Good food and plenty of beer too! Well be there next year, for sure

We missed seeing you Dave and I think a more forward progressive thinking presentation by you was a missing ingredient of an otherwise very good conference. One thing I definitely noticed was while the talk of the show last year seemed to be background checks and the legislation, the topic wasn’t barely mentioned at all this year.

You should have been invited to speak. Your vision insight about the industry is invaluable.
The conference was productive, but don’t feel too bad, the weather was cold and overcast.
You were missed.

Bill,
If not background checks, what do you think was the major issue/theme of this year’s show?
