I used to work at an advertising agency. Suffice to say I enjoy good advertising. I’m reading “Lovemarks: The Future Beyond Brands” and thinking about how the dating industry approaches branding and advertising. I came across this ad and have to say this is the most outrageous creative ever to emerge from True.com. Is this the kind of marketing that the industry has to stoop to in order to earn customers? I have seen financial investment sites with pr0n, websites featuring naked newscasters, why not mix pr0n and a dating site? I wonder what her click-through rates look like?

Maybe they should really promote their benefits David when they advertise Dave? How about a headline contest for True’s ads – you pick the winner. Let me try one to start:
Want Safe Sex? I’ve been screened!
Cmon guys – let’s help out True here. They clearly can’t compete on their own.
Dave,
I issued a comment on Mark Brooks blog in which I said True was turning toward the sec trade. Think Mark got some heat for True. Just goes to show I can back up my comments.
There needs to be an investigation. The wholesome and safer onlinde dating is a complete fraud.
Vest sexual harrasment, womanizing, and abusive background should also be investigated. Goes to show you how deceptive Vest truely is.
Bill,
I would not trust my life with True and claiming safe sex. Nothing they claim is TRUE!
Vest of True.com is not only having financial problems it looks like he is having marriage problems too.
Well everyone knew that arrangement wouldn’t last long. Maybe she figured out her prenup isn’t worth the paper it is written on. Vest background doesn’t show they are married to begin with.
Maybe she realized the privite yacht is sinking
Dave,
having blog problems? I heard Vest wasn’t to happy about the leaks showing up on your website. Think someone that works for True may have made some edits to help True out?
Looks like Vest laid down the law at True. To bad it isn’t going to help!
I have some major news, but I am holding it for when the time is just right.
Dan,
Does this new information concern possible unethical and illegal business practices on the part of True.com? I am also interested in what you might know about this “Safer Online Dating Alliance” (= SODA) that appears to be a misleading lobbyingt front for True.com.
Dan Vest, Mr. Herb Vest’s son, failed to directly address or deny that this is the case when questioned about SODA on Online Personals Watch. Of course, he may not know the truth.
Thank you,
Kurt Manning
