Are Friendfinder emails truthful?

I subscribe to tons of weekly updates for dating sites and you can imagine what my inbox looks like. I practically see PerfectMatch and True logos in my dreams by now. Most sites never send anything, and those that do cover a wide range of quality. Friendfinder sent me an email stating “look who wants to meet you.” That’s helpful, same thing every other major dating site does. What concerned me is that directly under the headline were photos of three sexy starlets who are identified in smaller print as “most popular” members. That seems like a fairly major deception to me. One was from Tasmania, another was on the adult part of FriendFinder (I don’t subscribe to that, ahem), and the third was from someplace like Malta. Makes me appreciate that Match, Yahoo and others who actually run your profile against their database to send you your matches, even if I’ve been seeing the same women in my inbox for a year now. FriendFinder throws up a few pics of well-endowed men and women into the old email template system and there you have it. Lowest common denominator stuff, but it seems to work for them. Just goes to show that you can make a lot of money in this business with creative marketing, or lack thereof.
