I received an email stating that Match.com has stopped throwing offline (Matchlive) events – no speeddating, no singles events. Could that be true, even after Chris Terrill, Match.com’s vice president for off-line initiatives at Match, recently said that his division’s revenues were up 200% over last year? More on that previously written up here. I went to MatchLive and looked up major football cities like NY, Miami, SF and Dallas and every area displays the ominous statment “There are currently no scheduled events in your area.” Hmmm.
